as a Blessing
Not everything that leaves your life is proof that you failed. Some endings become protection, redirection, maturity, and room for what actually fits the person you are becoming.

Not everything that happens is good. But nothing is beyond God’s ability to redeem, redirect, mature, teach, and weave into your story.
Today’s Devotional
Count What Did Not Work Out as a Blessing
Before you call the ending failure, ask whether God may be revealing protection, redirection, maturity, or freedom.
When something does not work out, many of us immediately turn against ourselves.
“What is wrong with me?”
“Did I miss God?”
“Did I ruin it?”
Before we ask what God might be doing, we attach failure to our identity.
But something ending is not automatic proof that you failed.
Sometimes a closed door becomes protection.
Sometimes an ending becomes redirection.
Sometimes losing something familiar reveals how dependent your peace had become upon it.
People are not your source.
Opportunities are not your source.
Platforms are not your source.
Money is not your source.
Approval is not your source.
God is your source.
And sometimes release hurts because the thing leaving had become something you leaned on heavily.
You needed the person to approve you.
You needed the opportunity to prove you were called.
You needed the outcome to prove your future was still good.
Then the thing changes, closes, or disappears, and God begins teaching you how to stand differently.
Release can become maturity.
You are allowed to outgrow something without deciding that the old thing was evil.
You can be grateful for what a season taught you and still recognize it cannot go with you.
That is maturity.
Maturity says: “God, if this did not work out, show me what You are revealing.”
“Show me what You are protecting.”
“Show me what You are redirecting.”
“Show me what dependency You are breaking.”
“Show me what new thing now has room to grow.”
You can bless what is leaving and still walk toward what is coming.
Maybe the ending hurt.
Maybe you genuinely wanted it.
Maybe you still have questions.
You do not have to deny disappointment in order to trust God with your future.
You simply stop making the disappointment the final interpretation.
If it did not work out, God can still use it for good.
If something left, God can still fill the space.
If one door closed, your calling did not disappear.
If a season ended, life can still grow afterward.
Stop calling every ending a curse.
Count the wisdom.
Count the redirection.
Count the protection.
Count the freedom.
Count the space that now exists for something healthier.
You are not losing your future.
You may be getting released from something that could not carry it.

Sometimes the hardest part after something ends is trying to understand what your season means now.

Seal This Moment
Father, help me release without accusing myself.
Father, I bring You the things that did not work out.
Heal the places where I turned an ending into a statement about my worth, calling, future, or identity.
Show me what this season has taught me.
Show me where You are redirecting, maturing, protecting, and freeing me.
Help me release what no longer belongs without bitterness, fear, or shame.
Thank You that one closed door cannot close my future.
Lead me into what fits the person You are forming me to be.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
