Your Appointed Time
Has Come

God needs you to hear this. Some of you have been dealing with setbacks — with your money, your dream, your family. One thing after another, so much so that you are left asking: is this my time? Why can I not get myself into it? This word is for you.

But here is what God showed me about the setbacks: where you thought things got out of control, where you thought the enemy had taken back control, it was never such. God always had control. He always knew what He was doing, and every step has been strategic — the buildup before the break.

You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her — the appointed time has come.

The setbacks might be real. They happened. It doesn’t matter — they were strategic. God said, “I know exactly what I need to do. I have the plan. I have the blueprint.” This is your time right now, in this present moment — this is all you got. Tomorrow never comes if you keep putting it off, so step into it today. Things are coming to get done quickly — as acceleration comes in, things will start to happen, and sometimes it will not make sense. It is more an act of God than it is you transpiring something.

You are not delayed just because you are waiting. You are not stuck just because you are waiting. It is like a river, guarded by rocks, not able to flow — the substance is still there, a division between where it wants to go and where it is at the moment. As water accumulates, it will spill over the thing blocking it and rush anyway. Either way, you are in the river.

And the rest of the verse is yours: the appointed time has come for the revelation of what truly lies within you. In the Old Testament, Zion was the place of worship in Jerusalem. In the New Testament, the temple is here — in our very vessel, our being. If any part of you believes you are separated from God, you will not fully experience your appointed time. The appointed time is the revelation of who has come and what has been done inside you, for you, as you already — how close God lives inside you, how intimately ingrained He is in your very being.

Do you know who you are?

The reason you feel stuck and blocked is that God wants to remove the limitations of what you truly believe you are. In the morning, write down the things about yourself — the quality traits you enjoy about yourself, the things that make you valuable, your skill sets, the things you enjoy physically, mentally, at an intimate level, in integrity, in character. As you dwell upon all the things worthy, valuable, beautiful, funny, and great about you, you will begin to step into the appointed time you have always been called to. Your dreams have not kicked off because you have not truly believed that you carry enough value to step into them. You are not truly stuck. You are just in the moment of discovering all that is within you, and that will take you forward into the next moments of your life. There is a unique version of God’s expression living inside of you that people need to see — a variation only you can bring, made fearfully and wonderfully in His image and likeness. The doubts in your head telling you it is not your time, that you are not good enough, that you can never do it — don’t listen to them. Listen to the One who calls you forward, who has already done it on your behalf. Jesus has already conquered it. It is your appointed time.
