You Are
the Light in It

We settled it in the dark teaching: don’t be afraid of the dark. Now the other half: I’m not saying mimic the dark — you are the light, okay? You’re the light in the darkness.

And so if you’re the light in the darkness, the darkness doesn’t overcome it. The darkness gets put in its place, because when light comes, the darkness has nothing to do but to be lit up.

Because the light always has overcome the darkness. It always has, and it always will. That’s scientific nature and law.

Now, the darkness is always there either way. In fact, light and dark are simultaneously existing at the same moment — because you can’t have one without the other.

You are the light in the darkness — and it cannot overcome you.

And this frames even our normal reality: your body and your spirit simultaneously exist at the same time. Both are existing realities at the exact same moment.

You don’t have to wait to be “spiritual enough” to shine. You’re not half one and half the other. You’re the light, in the body, in the dark — all at once.

And this is where things get fun. When you play with the spiritual, you’ll experience life like a weirdo — you’ll begin to see things other people don’t see, and sense things, and romanticize things, and learn to love things, and fall in love in deep ways that sometimes the normal mind isn’t ready for.

It’ll take you on a joy ride if you’ll let it.

But it takes one thing: confidence in what you know about your Father. When you know Him, you don’t fear the dark, and you don’t mimic it either — you shine in it. You are the light in it.
