Don’t Like You

I’ve been sitting with John 7, and there’s a key in it for all of us: Jesus didn’t go where He wasn’t wanted.

Never invite yourself to another realm or reality you were not invited into. Why grace your holy presence with people who don’t truly want you — and only seek to kill what you carry?

Here’s the part nobody tells you about maturing. When you start maturing, you start exiting the “prove it” stage into full-blown knowing.

And that offends people. Because once you no longer need to be justified under them, it sparks insecurity — while for you, all is well.

You no longer needing their approval is what offends them.

It creates tension. Jealousy. Sometimes, potential hiding. People won’t like you because you pull things out of them that reveal their insecurities.

When you speak boldly yet humbly about something accomplished that others want, it strikes their insecurity. You may have even felt it in some cases — seeing something someone else has, and wanting to run out of insecurity.

But there is also a way of acting that changes this around: it’s love. Love someone better than you, and you can become something of them — because you’re attaching yourself to the next level. From faith to faith.

Keep around the ones who were with you in all your wins.

Because it’s those people who will cheer you on like angels, with no harmful pride in their hearts. The real ones who stay and show consistency are the ones who show they truly love you. Protect those connections. And stop grieving the ones your growth simply outgrew.
