God never made understanding the price of trust. The promise was never that you’d get the full map — it’s that He would direct your path.
Today’s Devotional
You Don’t Have to Understand It to Trust Him
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.” Read that again slowly. God never made understanding the price of trust.
If you had to understand it first, it wouldn’t be faith — it would be a business deal. And God is not asking you to sign off on a plan you can fully explain. He’s asking you to lean on a Person you can fully trust, even when the season doesn’t make sense yet.
Leaning is a weight word. You cannot lean on something and hold yourself up at the same time. So today is not about trying harder to figure out the how. It’s about deciding where your weight actually rests.
He understands what you don’t. He sees the part you can’t.
And the promise was never that you’d get the full map — it’s that He would direct your path. Step where He’s lighting, and let the rest be His to carry.
